  • Manage Office of Education, including hiring, development, and supervision of administrative personnel for student and residency programs.
  • Oversee annual residency recruitment process, which involves review of 2,200+ applications, scheduling of 450 interviews, and hiring of 35 interns.   • Serve as program liaison with outside agencies, including Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and American College of Physicians (ACP). Facilitate collection and provision of required data to outside agencies, monitor compliance with agency requirements, and educate staff and residents on changes/updates to agency policies and procedures.
  • Co-Chair Clinical Competency Committee in bi-annual evaluation of clinical competence and promotion of residents. Report clinical competence of each resident to ACGME and ABIM.
  • Direct credentialing process for program graduates and current trainees, communicating with and providing required information to outside health care institutions and licensing bodies.
  • Lead staff meetings to encourage and facilitate discussion of new ideas and to update personnel on programmatic and institutional process and policy changes.
  • Improve success of program by making proactive adjustments to operations. Establish team priorities and monitor progress.
