    Documentation Coordinator, 01/2013 to CurrentSanford Home Medical
    • Network within Hospital, clinics, other sites, any other providers/vendors to obtain documentation required for billing purposes. Assisted in the creation of cost effective and simplified processes to meet requirements of multiple levels within the organization.
    • Follow up with said providers to ensure that billing requirements such as SD Medicaid are being followed, research requirements and review processes to ensure a smooth procedure when trying to obtain said documentation.
    • Direct customer interaction and service Adherence to protocol and compliance guidelines. Training, developing and implementing new workflow procedures to ease processes.
    • Ability to work independently and corporately as a member of the team to ensure that every contribution of each individual team member is recognized.
    • Coordinated with two nursing staff and one IT person to create a SD Medicaid Certificate of Medical Necessity form within our Enterprise Commuter system to adhere to SD Medicaid rules, alleviate workload on providers and avoid potential write offs due to lack of documentation.
    • Worked directly with State and Government agencies to assure accuracy in medical documentation and adherence to legislative rules. 
    RAC/Revenue Integrity Support Specialist, 04/2010 to 01/2013Sanford Health USD Medical Center
    • Network within Hospital departments and Business Associates in maintaining communication for Medicare/Medicaid audits. Helped Beta test RAC RUNNER Audit Management Software and worked with Cobius Audit Management Software.
    • Collect documentation and enter into appropriate software to account for and provide evidence on Medicare/Medicaid audits.
    • Work with different software and hardware to complete tasks.
    • Prepare, package and mail required documentation Support Compliance, PFS and any other department in the audit process.
    • Check integrity of Legal chart and make sure all documentation is complete and connected to the correct patient and account.

    • Analyzed patient records to prepare for physician completion.
