DIRECTOR, WESTERN MA PUBLIC HEALTH TRAINING CENTER (WMPHTC)
Professional Summary
I have 25 years of experience in the nursing field. My career background includes clinical experience; program administration; and community, patient, and staff education and training. Areas of special interests include public health nursing focusing on approaches to chronic disease, reducing health disparities, and promotion of health equity and social justice. Providing health care to underserved, culturally diverse populations with complex medical and social circumstances has been a central focus of my career.
As the Director of the Western MA Public Health Training, I develop curriculum and train public health professionals and am committed to bridging public health and clinical care through workforce development and training.
My passion for teaching and research influenced the decision to matriculate in the University of Massachusetts School of Public Health and Health Sciences Ph.D. program this fall.
