  • Vanderbilt University a new customer was a large project over multiple departments, internal and external stakeholders that included the layout of a new facility, equipment estimates, job fair and training 70+ new teammates, working with the customer to learn about the 750+ delivery points and the book of product needed to meet their contract specifications.
  • The VP of Supply Chain expectations were exceeded and it was a very high profile customer.

  • Very different customer but they were ready for change and worked with us as a partner in building a great supply chain.
  • DDI Interviewing - A week long class on behavioral interviewing.

Director of Development & Learning OperationsOwens & Minor Inc
  • Overview of Job: Work with senior management in operations, transportation, safety, regulatory and legal to develop training that supports the overall strategic objectives.
  • Use of adult learning techniques such as white boarding videos, e-learning, vignettes, facilitated classes and gamification that enables individuals to learn and improve job skills that support the company's objectives and improves turnover.
  • Reorganized teammate structure and developed new job descriptions to support Operations Training.
  • Generated reports for senior management and field leaders that enabled managers to see correlation of required training to turnover, error reduction, productivity and safety.
  • Developed a 6 month on-boarding program that was heavily weighted in the first two weeks of employment but continued throughout the first 6 months to keep the teammate and their manager engaged.

Owens & Minor General Manager
  • Sustain the profitability of $225M in distribution sales for HCA, Vanderbilt Health System, Ascension and Covenant Health.
  • The two distribution centers covered 60+ customers from large to small healthcare facilities.
  • Worked with senior hospital supply chain management, IT, GPO contract, prime vendor contract and clinicians to support projects that simplified the full supply chain such as tissue tracking and Endo/Suture Management.
  • Each hospital/clinic/surgery center had varied needs that could include PAR management, contract compliance, suture/endo management, disaster planning, transportation, core item list, and Low-Unit-of-Measure/Bulk.
  • Structured and implemented large IDN's new business such as Vanderbilt and Ascension by working with their operations groups to build a best model supply chain that improved their FTE headcount and serviced the 1000+ ship to points with a 98% filled core list.
  • Contracted with Vanderbilt to do their transportation for an off-site location that they used for Sterile Processing and was part of a consulting team for the OR redesign at Vanderbilt.
  • Within the DC's I improved and maintained goal Error Rate, A/R days outstanding, Customer Service surveys, on-time delivery, production standards, DART rate/Safety, SOP compliance and payroll and operating expenses.

Multiple facilities and Regional TrainerBarnes & Noble GM
  • Managed Retail stores in VA, MD and DC area.
  • Regional Trainer in an explosive growth environment which entailed 22 new stores.
