Professional Summary

I have been a 'people person' my entire life and it has opened many doors for me. I chose to major in Public Relations as my path in college, because I love being around people of all ages and assisting in whatever way I can. Every single one of my past jobs and past experiences have helped me do just that. From working with kids, to developmentally disabled adults I always put in my best efforts to help the people I work with, always for their best interest at heart.

Accomplishments

As a child I always loved the idea of being a leader. When I got to middle school I was given the opportunity to be in ASB and then in high school I was given the chance to go to a leadership camp funded by the Association of Washington State Leaders. Going to this camp for the first time at the age of fifteen was an amazing experience and was one of the reasons why I began to come out of my shell as a person. In the summer of 2019 after I graduated I was accepted out of so many amazing applicants and leaders to be part of a group of 20 students who would be junior counselors at this leadership camp in July 2019. Some of the topics that we study with the kids at this leadership camp are communication skills, positive teamwork, decision-making, empowerment, self and social awareness, self efficiency, and social engagement. These are only few of the many things that we instill into these kids young minds to hopefully train them to become better leaders not just in their schools but in their lives. I have met some of my best friends in this camp and I truly believe that it has made me not just a better leader but a better person. Above I have linked the Mt. Olympus Leadership page, where you will find several bits of information on this amazing place and the role we play as JC's, (you might even see some pictures of me on there!) I have also linked the AWSL website where you will also find more on the statewide movement itself.
