◦Guest Service For about three years, I have served and worked with customers. I always try to assess the needs of every one in order to deliver the best experience they can receive. Management has given me praise periodically for fast and friendly service to each guest. My main responsibilities include: creating a welcoming atmosphere to each guest, recommending various products and localities the guests may enjoy, assisting everyone in a timely manner, up-selling many of our items to guests accordingly, processing a large amount of information given to me quickly and efficiently, preparing a variety of consumable products, handling cash, processing purchases, and replenishing the stock for each station. Each day I juggle multiple duties and work cooperatively with my other workers to accomplish our daily tasks.
Using a POS system, I processed transactions as quickly and accurately as possible. At the end of every shift, we made sure our drawers were balanced as we filled out daily shift reports. We also worked with money order machinery, credit card processors, and lottery machines. ◦ Morning shift duties included but were not limited to: calibrating each piece of machinery (coffee equipment, refrigerating equipment) to make they were working properly. Working within a limited time frame to prepare products (doughnuts, grill items, coffee) for the day. Cleaning up the kitchen, which included washing all utensils, taking out the trash, wiping down the counters, mopping and sweeping the floor.◦ Night shift duties included but were not limited to: Moving sales items from the cooler or in the back room to their designated positions. Maintaining the cleanliness of the store inside and out (taking out garbage receptacles, cleaning each counter, sweeping/mopping the floor, cleaning the restrooms, cleaning the gas pumps, removing litter from the parking lot/grass areas). Cleaning any type of dishes that are left by the end of the day. ◦ Every customer who talked through the door was to be acknowledged and greeted with a smile. Customer service was a very important aspect of this position, and I always made sure to deliver the quickest and friendliest experience for each guest.
