I would like to include a little history that may be helpful. As you have seen I once was a Respiratory Therapist for 9 years. I had a family, 3 children, a husband and a home. In 2006 I had my daughter and a horrific surgical infection that required multiple surgeries and a lot of pain medication. Unfortunately at this time i had no idea that i was now addicted to pain medication. Life continued on but because i was unable to work due to the extensive surgical needs for the infection that i had, i had learned that the pain medications could became a source of income for me from an acquaintance at the time. I then decided to sell the medication that i didn't use and slow down on the pain medication so that i could eventually sell it a well. I had no idea that i already had an addiction. This continued on until i had found a job as a respiratory therapist at a hospital several miles away. At this point i don't think anything about pain pills or have any cravings for them. However, i do for the money that i make off of them. i continuing working and then in July of 2010 my middle son who is also autistic came forward about being molested for the past 2 years. I literally lost it. So i quit my job and filed for disability. I had the pill selling to fall back on and my husband worked so i thought we would be ok. WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE!!! I sold pills to survive and and started hanging around with the people that i sold to and their friends. This eventually led to my use of I.V. morphine. the dilaudid, then heroin. In July of 2012 I was arrested for the first time and my house was searched. The police located syringes and one klonopin. I received my first charge of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. I received 5 years probation and then that lead to selling of heroin and using more and more. Probation violated and revoked sentenced to my back up and a 120 treatment in the Department of Corrections. Released for 11 months and back in jail on bigger drug charges. probation violated and revoked 13years for possession with intent and 7 years for possession CONSECUTIVE!! i did a 365 treatment and was released after a total of 15 months to Christian recovery home for women. Used for the first time there after 2 weeks and then moved back to Perryville. 15 months out of DOC and arrested again. Probation violated and revoked again doing back up and new charges. After 3 1\2 years was released Feb. 21, 2020 and have almost 6 years clean from herion and 4 1\2 years off all mind altering substances. I have an amazing relationship with God and He has allowed me to have that opportunity again with my family!! I am loving life and feea though i would be an assett to your facility
