A Ribbon About A Bomb - Created, Directed and Produced immersive collaboration exploring female surrealism, Governor's Island, NY, ‘17
Originally produced August and September 2017 in an abandoned house on Governors Island, A Ribbon About A Bomb explores issues of duality within what it means to be a woman artist as embodied through three female surrealist artists: Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, and of course iconic Frida Kahlo. Two different performances, occurring simultaneously (wedding or funeral) led audiences through the nine rooms of the house where installation art and performance are woven together. Written by 10 playwrights the story is crafted together like the company's namesake, an exquisite corpse, helmed by creator and director Tess Howsam. The writers were only given a month and a half to develop the work, each writing moments or scenes that were then interwoven. Original score was added using lyrics from varying playwrights set to music by KG Garlington. The entire production from build to performance occurred in one month. The costume design added a collaboration with female fashion house Nineteenth Amendment and blended costume and female designed pieces within the show adding a contemporary spin to the world.

Secession 2015 and Secession 2015 Faux/Real Festival -Created, Directed and Produced immersive collaboration based on the Vienna Secession, Governor's Island, NY, ‘15 and Created, Directed and Produced touring performance Secession 2015, The Pearl, New Orleans, LA. ‘15
20 visual artists created original work inspired by artists of the Vienna Secession while 7 playwrights, 4 directors, and 7 actors brought the gallery to life in Secession 2015. A living gallery set in a dilapidated Victorian house on New York City's Governor's Island; audiences wandered through art-filled rooms and explored the concepts of woman as an artist's muse vs. woman as an artist.
Secession 2015 toured to New Orleans as a part of the Faux/Real Festival. The play received a warm reception as we reached out to a community of New Orleans artists. I directed and also performed the roles of Wally, Muse, and Marietta.

In addition to directing the “one night only” fashion/dance performance, I also performed the physical character role of Alecto in ANON at HERE Arts Center.
The Forgotten World of Egon Schiele - Wrote and Performed in original ten-minute play, (Un)Fair Festival, NY, 2014
This ten-minute play written for the (Un)Fair Festival in New York City was inspired by Egon Schiele's painting “Death and the Maiden.” In the final ten minutes of Schiele's life, his wife and lover come to life to help him find closure. I performed the role of the androgynous Egon Schiele caught in his poetically tragic world. It was performed inside the (Un)Fair Gallery amongst an installation of antique frames.
ODD.A.SEE -Created, Directed and Produced immersive retelling of Homer's Odyssey, Arts@Renaissance, Williamsburg, NY 2013
ODD.A.SEE was performed in the basement of a repurposed hospital space: Arts@Renaissance, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Five playwrights took the audience on an immersive journey, from room to room, through the world of Homer's Odyssey. It examined what it means to come home and how war affects us all. Eight visual artists crafted installation art pieces/sets. Three bands rotated as the unruly suitors and created original scores. My first immersive project, this was thrilling and daunting. An eerie basement was transformed into the bizarre worlds of Odysseus' journey.
