•Serve as adviser and consultant to medical and administrative staff and other uniformed medical treatment personnel
•Provide specialized assistance, administrative and individualized guidance concerning DOD Disability Evaluation System (IDES) •Responsible for administrative support in processing of assigned medical administrative and recording of medical board findings and for maintaining complete case files
••Provide administrative counseling and advice to all Uniformed Service personnel, or their next of kin (NOK) in incompetence cases, on DOD Disability Evaluation System (DES) medical board procedures, findings and recommendations
•Ensure that each individual/next of kin completely understands system and advise them of their rights to participate in process
•Counsel and substantially advise members or next of kin on all aspects of military disability compensation with entitlements derived from Veteran's Administration, Social Security, Department of Labor and State Employment Commission
•Instruct member on use and purpose of Board of Correction of Military Records and assists with preparation of such appeals upon request
•Explain need for and use of forms signed by individual acknowledging review of case and expressing their desire to remain in service or not
•analyze data mining reports, to assure equitable distribution of work assignments
•Assist members in their preparation of appeal/rebuttal to insure their desires conform to limits imposed by regulations and law •Ensure each narrative summary and all supporting documentation are property completed in manner to allow for review, rating and final adjudication within Office of Secretary of Air Force or appropriate Secretariat level for pertinent Service
•Obtain available records and supporting documents to assist MEB and councils in their determinations
•Advise physicians on irregularities and omissions in their case write up / record and rejects any cases determined not to be properly completed •Responsible for initiating and obtaining final approved copies of Line-of-Duty Determinations on all cases where diagnosis is trauma incurred and participates in Medical Board hearings as adviser and recorder
•Provide administrative advice to Board on what authorized types of disposition can be made on case by case basis
•Ensure each Board recommendation is in compliance with current AF directives and policies
•Technical college-level courses.
•Provides and reviews course syllabus and outline with students on first day of class. Maintains and ensures consistency between course objectives and daily lesson plans. Provides and discusses syllabus modifications with students throughout term.
•Updates and maintains current and accurate course information, including course syllabus, for faculty resource center.
•Prepares and administers examinations, student projects, and other teaching aids needed to fulfill objectives of program. Sets up classroom, lab equipment, projects, assignments, etc. in preparation for each new phase or class start.
