One of the best pieces of advice is to prepare yourself. Research the company so you can tailor your answers to the specific organization. Identify its culture and its needs so you can provide insight and ideas. Prepare answers for both general and industry-related interview questions so you can stay cool as a cucumber when presented with high-pressure questions. Do not forget that your answers should demonstrate how your skills can bring value to the employer.
On the day of the interview, dress and look the part. Arrive early so you can compose yourself and take some time to take in the feel and energy of the company. Always follow up after the interview by writing hand-written thank you notes. You should also email and/or call on a regular basis to let them know you are a serious candidate.
