The key to answering this question is understanding what the interviewer hopes to learn. If you do not stop and think about it, it may seem like he or she wants to hear about some of your mistakes. In reality, the interviewer really wants to learn how you handle stressful situations, and whether you can make adjustments. Hiring someone is an investment, and if that employee does not work out, that investment was a waste. Because it is unlikely that a new hire will get everything immediately, the investment depends on whether you will stubbornly stick to your ways or adapt to succeed.
With this in mind, you can better answer the question. Describe how you stayed calm, any changes you implemented at other's suggestions, and what the positive result was.

But really, this question is more about finding out how you handle difficult challenges and situations. Can you handle feedback and incorporate suggestions into your work? That is the heart of this type of question. It will also provide the interviewer with an understanding of how you handle working with and for different types of people.
It is important that you demonstrate your ability to incorporate feedback into your work (constructive criticism), which serves to improve performance and make you better at your job. Interview questions about times when your work was criticized will allow you to share a situation where you received feedback that was less than favorable, and how you took that information, incorporated it into your work, and made necessary improvements.
