Your answer should show you have conducted plenty of research, and you should always at least review the company’s website before walking into the interview. When in doubt, you can utilize the job listing and talk about what responsibilities interested you most. Ultimately, you do not want to talk about why you want the job. You should discuss what skills you bring to the position that would benefit the business in the long run.
There are several types of answers to avoid even if you believe they would be fun and quirky. For example, you would not want to say, "The position pays well" or "I want to take advantage of the benefits." In your response, you want to demonstrate you fully understand what the position demands and that you will thoroughly enjoy this line of work.
