For the last 13 years I have been a teacher for the Croswell-Lexington Community School District. I taught fourth grade for 7 years and have taught Title I for 6 yearsservicing second, third, and fourth grade students.
Asked to be a part of the Croswell-Lexington School Improvement Team.
Chosen to attend School Improvement Leadership Conference in Lansing, Michigan with Meyer Elementary School Principal Donna Barrier on two separate occasions.
Asked to co-lead Title I meeting for parents of students receiving interventions.

Asked to represent Meyer Elementary staff at district level meeting.
Title I Teacher for second, third, and fourth grade students. Tested students' independent reading abilities and taught individualized instruction to students that were at minimum one entire grade level behind academically.
General Education teacher in a building containing only fourth and fifth grade students. From 2005 to 2007 taught two sections of Social Studies. Volunteered often for student community Fun Nights which included games and crafts for students. Worked closely with other teachers and independently. Part of a team of teachers that won the Golden Apple Award two years in a row for achieving high scores on Michigan's standardized test, the MEAP.
Continuing education courses chosen to benefit students and the school goals of fitness. All classes were either online or had correspondence through the United States Postal Service.

Chosen out of a classroom of peers to tutor two instead of one inner city severely at-risk students for reading at the Flint Community Center, Flint, Michigan. Student Teaching experience in Kindergarten at Harrison Elementary School in Port Huron, Michigan.
