I suffered from active addiction for 7 years. It not only affected my entire life negatively but the lives of my mother and especially my children. I have been blessed to be in recovery now for almost two years and dedicate much of my life to helping others as well to find recovery. I am in the process of rebuilding the relationships with my family and children as well. I found recovery has been most successful to me by working and staying active in a 12 step program and attending meetings as well.
