Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills: Served a two year rotational assignment as a Certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt (BB) with proficiency in identifying operational deficiencies and implementing sustainable system/process improvements
• Supported CPI initiatives to educate and lead team members to focus on current and future processes, identify measurable data, conduct in depth analysis, draw conclusions of and make recommendations to correct problems
• Led teams of subject matter experts through data collection and root cause analysis to isolate problems areas
• Developed alternate meeting techniques to assist completing deliverables, overcome scheduling challenges and avoiding project stall
• Assist with organizational strategic planning, data collection and analysis, prepare, plan and execute deliverables to help guide leadership to work toward Commanders goals
• Projects Included:
o Streamlined the Furniture Procurement Process through conducting focus groups and forums to build solutions. I successfully facilitated a two day event measuring and analyzing data, and prioritized recommended solutions resulting in the development and implementation of a web based tool tracking end-to-end furniture procurement
o The Infrastructure Business Process project focused on Facilities Management work performed by shadow staff across competencies and business units. Facilitated several offsite events for data analysis and prioritization, and to evaluate, select and optimize the best solutions to redefine roles and responsibilities. Results included the development of standard work requirements eliminating inefficiencies, variation and duplication of efforts in Facility Management practices and processes
o Refine and Standardize the Reasonable Accommodation Process focused on reducing the cycle time by 20 percent. Successfully led a national team of SMEs develop dynamic tools, materials, and SOPs that will improve the productivity and quality of work life for individuals with disabilities
• Mentor two Green Belts
o Provided face-to-face interaction to successfully execute required tools, team dynamics, and work through issues or concerns
o Guided a national level-3 department head Green Belt through completion of a previously initiated project generating required deliverables and supporting documentation to complete this project
