As a Master Tech my Roles and Responsibilities are but not limited to:
-Train and communicate effectively
-Perform repairs in a product system utilizing established maintenance techniques
-Troubleshoot equipment and resolve reliability issues that create performance gaps
-Knowledge of mechanical tools
-Read, understand, and utilize Schematics and engineering documentation
-Applying reliability tools and concepts
-Make production decisions and lead team when there is no clear direction
-Use computer software to document and communicate accurate information
-Identify, control and reduce safety risk
-Practice teamwork and flow to the highest value work
-Manage multiple or competing priorities
Responsibilities:
-Reliability- Ensure maintenance work is executed in a way that adds value to reliability
-Environmental, Health, Safety and compliance- Take responsibility for safety and demonstrate courage to hold each other accountable
-Cost/Productivity- Achieve a competitive position by taking ownership
-Team Development- Improve skills and capabilities within the team
-Reliability and asset performance improvement
-Quality- Making sure the product is fit for the customers needs
Expectations:
-Supervising asset strategies and making sure they are executed to improve reliability of assets in terms of uptime, speed and yield
- Supervising technician based Preventative maintenance execution
- Supervising technician routes and making sure they are in compliance
-Knowing our competitive position and working collaboratively with the rest of leadership and technicians to prioritize value-added work (Planning/Scheduling)
-Leading opportunities to optimize asset performance
-Lead opportunities to optimize assets by documenting unplanned downtime
-Develop procedures to mitigate chronic or major machine reliability
-Provide leadership and technical expertise to technicians. Develop skills to become SME for equipment in area of responsibility
-work with and through team members to achieve goals by using comparative advantage
-Proactively identify, control and reduce Safety risk
In the maintenance Field my responsibilities were but not limited to:
-Fixing broken equipment, repair or replacement of parts to get assets back into production
-Creating work orders and completing them
-Maintaining production and reliability
-Center lining equipment to specifications
-Working closely with the reliability engineer to keep equipment in the most reliable state
-Reading blueprints
-Working the stockroom and wrecking parts out for lack of stockroom attendant on shift
-Troubleshooting equipment
-Knowledge in various pieces of equipment in the product line
-Knowledge of paper converting equipment and the processes dealt with
-Completing assignment that were assigned in a timely manner
My duties as a relief operator were but not limited to:
-Relieving Personnel for breaks and operating the equipment that they were responsible for
-Knowledge of operating all production equipment
-Keeping up good housekeeping of equipment and areas
-Reworking product and helping where needed
-Prioritizing work flow to maximize uptime

-Blue print reading and precision measurement
-PNEUMATICS
-Bearings and seals
-Drives and Couplings
-Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
