Professional Summary

I am a hard working and reliable choice for any BOH position. I have worked almost my entire adult life inside restaurants, and while I don't have the experience
in the professional kitchen, I think I make up for it in eagerness to learn and passion for what chefs do. I've loved working with food products since I was a young girl in my grandmother's kitchen, and now my personal experience is ready to level up to a professional one. I am extremely motivated to continue to learn more and more in this field and grow as a professional.

  • Guest Inquiries
  • Food Quality Standards
  • Through my time at Escoffier I have learned to pay attention to detail and have an eye for presentation and plating.
  • I have always leaned towards consecutive and consistent work such as prep in any form. I am happy to stay on one place for a long time getting things ready to go.
  • I have been taught proper food handling in both high school courses and my current culinary program. I am already educated on foodborne illnesses, cross contamination, and the importance of keeping your area clean and sanitized at all time.
Work History
08/2020 to 01/2021 Fruit Expert Edible Arrangements | Thousand Oaks, CA,
  • Sorted products by quality levels and arranged disposal or reclamation for inferior goods.
  • Enforced sanitation and handling guidelines to meet regulatory compliance standards.
  • Labeled picked items with correct information such as price, expiration dates and addresses.
  • Estimated product weights visually or used equipment to determine precise values.
  • My time at edible arrangements was very different and entertaining than my other jobs in food service. It was a small room with a large scale of orders and it
felt more like a back of house energy. There was mass prepping of melon which always was my favorite part slicing and skinning each piece. Cleaning of all the
fruits, decorating and arranging fruit bouquets. A lot of care and delicacy had to go into handling fruit and making it presentable according to Edible standards. It was a very rewarding job for me. The only reason it was cut short was due to a medical issue and then beginning my culinary school program. I felt it best to move forward.
07/2017 to 03/2020 Server Traditions Spirits | Sulphur, OK,
  • Cultivated warm relationships with regular customers.
  • Worked with POS system to place orders, manage bills and handle complimentary items.
  • Explained menu items and suggested appropriate options for food allergy concerns.
  • Bussed and reset tables to keep dining room and work areas clean.
  • Taste of Asia was my longest position. I thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by a different culture and different flavors. It was exciting to learn new dishes
and work around people who spoke different languages but still found common ground. Aside from normal serving duties I performed at my other jobs, I also had the pleasure of learning to serve over a hibachi grill that is incredibly hot and it was something exciting and new to add to my plate. Hibachi chefs always seem to be filled with energy and family's were typical guests, so it was always enjoyable to interact with everyone in that environment.
Unfortunately Covid struck late 2019 and by the beginning of 2020, like most restaurants, they closed and let many people go. Thankfully they later reopened and offered my position back when things were safe, but I was ready to move forward in my job hunt.
09/2016 to 06/2017 Server Traditions Spirits | Newcastle, OK,

  • Explained menu items and suggested appropriate options for food allergy concerns.
  • Bussed and reset tables to keep dining room and work areas clean.
  • Ruby Tuesdays was a very fun job for me, I adored my fellow employees and managers there. I had similar tasks such as waiting on guests, hastily serving hot food and cold drinks. Cleanliness, rolling silverware, and we often had to look after larger party sizes which was a fun change up from time to time.

  • I worked in both the kitchen, serving tables and the front gift shop of Cracker Barrel. It was my first experience around food and where I learned to serve
guests. From organizing to sanitizing; serving hot plates of food or refreshing drinks. Simple tasks like rolling silverware, restocking napkins or different
sauces. These are all duties that were expected of my position.
