Accomplishments

Spent several years as Assistant EMS Coordinator under DC Gregoire. Between the two of us we performed quality control, developed and implemented many standards and procedures still in effect today, and trained staff in EMS objectives and requirements.

As a senior firefighter/paramedic, I have assisted with the training of many beginning and novice firefighters. I especially enjoy helping EMS students and new personnel with the training and procedures needed to properly assess, diagnose, and treat the patients they care for.

I worked as a lead instructor for several EMS classes while teaching at Keiser Career College, training students in the fundamental & advanced levels of patient care.

I have conducted many in-school lectures and demonstrations for events like "Career Day" or "Great American Teach-In."

I also assisted with my son's high school medical magnet program classes, teaching students First-Responder responsibilities, including assessment, triage obtaining vital signs, gathering pertinent patient medical information, and other expectations in the EMS profession.

I have conducted numerous CPR classes for professionals, Health-care personnel, and many citizens of my community, including Boy Scouts, high school students, and individuals.
