I’ve been apart of the Ambridge Basketball Program for 9 years, 4 as a player, and coming up on 5 as a coach. I’ve loved every second of it because I love basketball. Coaching has always been a dream of mine and I’ve been blessed to have started my journey at such a young age, but now I’m ready to take the next step and be the Head Coach. Yes, I am young but, I’ve built strong relationships with the guys on the the team now since they were in 7th grade. I’m a very respectful person and always a positive man to be around. I will treat everyone on the team and in the school with the upmost respect. I know the game, I love the game and I have a lot of knowledge about the game. I’m always willing to help our them all whatever way I can. For example, for off season workouts some of them can’t afford to join an AAU team or a trainer so I do that for free. I’ll take whoever wants to go to the Ymca or this place in Pittsburgh that have games always going on and I’ll always pay out of my pocket without hesitation. They look up to me and I want to continue to be that leader and mentor for them. Finally, I want to help kids have a better future and make sure that they go to college, trade school, military, finding a job, whatever it may be I want to make sure every kid that would come through the program finds one of those. While coaching middle school I would always push grades on the kids, most of them raised them during the basketball season. While at the high school I would always check the grades on their phones and push for them to do the work and study hard!
I’m just hoping that I will be asked for an interview to show the school board and administrators who I am and what I will do to help the kids in Ambridge become wonderful young men. I am hoping you will consider me for the job and I look forward to hearing from you.
