Career Focus

My Father worked for Allstate my whole life and because of this I have always understood the importance of insurance. When I graduated high school in 2009, I started self study to get my Property & Casualty License but wasn't yet comfortable in the agency environment. In April of 2013 I fully made the decision to become an LSP and began my search for an agency to work for. I now have a little over 2 years of experience as an Allstate LSP and only want to learn more.

Summary of Skills
  • Customer Service
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficient in most Allstate Programs
  • Phone sales
  • Face to face sales
  • Policy support
  • Endorsement support
  • Successful sales record
Accomplishments
My best month in sales was 42 items and many other months selling over 30 items. I average 10-20 items a month and have saved many customers over the last couple of years with timely customer service and better explanations of why their policy had changed or premium had gone up. I will always go out of my way to help a customer and I always finish something I say I will.
Professional Experience
07/2015 to 10/2015 LSP Dean Foods Company | Lubbock, TX, I took this position, after leaving my Father's agency, out of desperation . My salary ended up being less than it was at the last two agencies and things became very difficult for me financially. I was still relatively successful in sales and customer service, my first month there I sold over 30 items. Although I wasn't there long I did learn as much as I could. His agency was very far from my house and in the end it just didn't work out.
02/2014 to 06/2015 LSP Skyline Family Protection | City, STATE, This was my Father, Tom Angone's, agency. I left Fisher to go to work for him as he was the only one at his agency and he needed my help. This was where I got very comfortable with phone sales and customer service. He was a scratch agency and didn't get much phone traffic, so I would make anywhere from 70-100+ calls a day. I had many months selling over 30 items here and had my record month selling 42 items. Unfortunately the agency never really took off the way my Father had expected it to and he decided to sell his book of business.
03/2013 to 01/2014 Telemarketer/LSP Fisher Family Insurance | City, STATE, This was the first agency setting I was in after deciding to become an Allstate LSP. I began my employment at Fisher as a telemarketer and lead generator. I would contact recent customers of the Fisher car dealership, explain the Agency, Allstate, and offer quotes. When someone was interested I would try to warm transfer them to the Agent they had on staff. After having great success transferring people to the current agent, they promoted me to being an LSP. After that time, I would meet with customers as they were finishing the financing portion of their vehicle purchase or maintenance and explain our services and offer quotes. I had pretty good success at bringing business to the agency but never got a sense that what I was doing there was appreciated by the customers. My last month at Fisher was my best month, when I sold 39 items.
01/2011 to 03/2013 Merchandiser Advantage Sales And Marketing | City, STATE, I had many different duties while working for ASM. As a merchandiser I would work in different retail outlets on a daily and nightly basis. Most of the time I would reset certain portions of shelving and products, removing outdated products and replacing discontinued products with new ones. There were also projects where I would offer free samples of certain products, along with coupons and offers. For some of the time I was employed with ASM, I worked on a crew that spent one week in Nebraska, one week in South Dakota, and two weeks in Wyoming. This gave me experience I never expected but also the desire to work more closely with people.
