To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently a graduate student at California State University, Chico working on my masters in cultural anthropology. As an undergraduate I attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where I received my bachelor's degree in Gender Ethnic & Multicultural Studies. I am attending graduate school in preparation for my goal of becoming a professor in the field of social sciences. My strengths as a student and leader contribute to my ability to work well with others, receive/ provide direction, and take responsibility for personal and/or collaborated work.
My portfolio demonstrates my abilities, interests, and skills achieved through the duration of my educational and work experience. Included is my resume providing background information on my previous jobs. In addition, I have a personal data sheet, list of references, and a work sample which show my level of responsibility at my current and previous job(s). The contents of this portfolio express my abilities to communicate, organize information, manage time, and my personal skill development, which I can use effectively and apply directly to the job at hand.
This portfolio reflects on my experiences as both a student and an employee. My previous jobs while attending college have helped me with time management, and commitment responsibilities. My classes are specified directly towards my career goal, and have extended my ability to be a critical thinker, apply creativity to work, and have greatly helped my communication skills. I hope you enjoy reviewing my portfolio.
Sincerely,
Jessica. Claire

I am a third year graduate student that has completed all required seminars, as well as passed my candidacy exams which will now allow myself to carry out thesis research.
Here I became an advocate for many oppressed groups while i tackled issues about race, gender, sexuality. I managed to facilitate a pannel in front of a 100 person audience on the issue of Islamic Feminisms. I reported my senior project on Chicana domestic and motherly roles within a contemporary stand point. I worked with a class to raise blankets for individuals needing warmth and shelter in Mexico. I also participated in the Vagina Monologues for three years providing a voice to women from all different sexual experiences.
Unsure about my thesis project thus far.
