I have worked mainly in chain salons due to my need for a flexible work schedule. But that did not hinder me in learning all the styles and services that a full service salon would offer. Infact having worked many years in chain salons (that are walk in based clientele), I have gained experience in every walk of life. From older women and men that frequent the salon on,most always, the same days and times and accustomed to a very precise service that beauty school and only experience can learn you, to busy weekends with full familie, that need fast accurate and patient service, to after work crowds of rushed tired business men and women who need fast quiet and accurate service, to special need group home men and women who require an ability to keep calm even when the customer is loud and startlin, to counter it with a grounded calm expectation and firm yet caring attitude, , to trendy teenagers that want you to know what's cool and be able to understand their lingo and not interpret that into wearable styles, to (and yes)rude off color clientel, that requires you to check your own emotions at the door and remain practical and helpful without allowing for intimidatio, to peacefully yet firmly balance of services to the rude and disagreeable customer can often time turn into your best most loyal client. I've seen it all and there isn't a situation that I haven't learned how to handle, each one in a delicate balance of skill, personality, performance and sometimes improvisation. I love making people feel better about themselves, whether that be in a salon or working with the deceased to bring some comfort to their family. I have an unusually strong eye for detail and although I have never worked on the deceased, I would love the opportunity to learn new techniques while still building and maintaining on the I have.
