Assess and train member schools throughout the state to ensure schools have an in-depth understanding and knowledge base in regard to the administration of interscholastic athletics. Averages of 500-600 attendees annually. ❖ Coordinate orientations and workshops to educate member schools' principals, athletic directors, coaches, and/or parents. ❖ Communicate and explain eligibility and compliance issues effectively with Florida Legislators, lobbyists and staff. ❖ Attend Board of Directors meetings and discuss pertinent issues, concerns and changes involving eligibility and compliance. ❖ Interpret and implement federal and state statutes to ensure compliance for member schools. ❖ Use effective problem-solving and public relations skills to address concerns and issues presented by member schools, parents and the community. ❖ Developed a New Administrators program to educate administrators, due to an increased turnover rate in athletic administrators. ❖ Restructured the eligibility and compliance website to increase the usability for community members, parents, administrators, coaches and schools representatives. ❖ Worked with the department to establish, monitor and maintain a positive budget. ❖ Attend necessary conferences and meetings impacting Florida school districts and compliance with FHSAA Bylaws and Policies. ❖ Interpret FHSAA bylaws and policies relative to non-standard student eligibility, i.e., international students, home educated students, alternative schools and non-member schools. ❖ Facilitate eligibility and compliance appeals hearings throughout the state. ❖ Facilitate FHSAA investigations resulting from allegations from non-member schools representatives and member school representatives. ❖ Coordinate and conduct investigations, audits and reviews of member schools based on allegations and incompliant procedures. ❖ Coordinate and direct mediation sessions between member schools. ❖ Educate superintendents, principals, athletic directors and parents in regard to student eligibility and FHSAA policies. ❖ Analyze, through surveys, member school and community input, the impact of the association's bylaws and policies annually. ❖ Work with organizations throughout the state and country to continuously assess the state of interscholastic athletics and determine the policies and procedures to implement as a result.

August 2005 to July 2011Eastside High School - Gainesville, FloridaTaught History to 10-12th grade students with varying abilities. Developed techniques to implement differentiated instruction to non-AP major program courses, as well as AP courses. ❖ Daily used differentiated instruction to engage students and teach them about history. ❖ Used strict classroom management skills to create and facilitate a learning classroom environment ❖ Developed comprehensive lessons that are aligned with Sunshine State Standards and the schools mission. ❖ Used the Gradual Release Model to assist students with understanding tasks given. ❖ Presented high quality questioning and discussion techniques to provide opportunities for students to pose higher level thinking skills. ❖ Encouraged and pushed students to work to their fullest potential by ensuring lessons and daily activities included relevant topics and allowed students to display their creativity. ❖ Developed lessons that spurred student interaction and outside of the box thinking. ❖ Established relationships with parents and community members to ensure student success. ❖ Frequently communicated with parents to keep them abreast of their student's progress and address any concerns. ❖ Developed the first Advanced Placement European History for non-IB students. August 2006 to July 2011Eastside High School - Gainesville, FloridaManaged, supervised and implemented Florida Statutes for eligibility and compliance of high school athletes to ensure all athletes perform at high standards and remain academically eligible. ❖ Responsible for ensuring eligibility and compliance of FHSAA bylaws and policies for 20 athletic programs. ❖ Continually updated and maintained lists of student athletes in jeopardy of ineligibility. Worked closely with the guidance department to contact parents and refer students to credit retrieval. ❖ Supervised and maintained successful athletic programs by developing rules and procedures for coaching staff and student athletes. ❖ Educated coaches, staff, parents and student athletes about the requirements for students to participate in high school athletics by hosting seasonal meetings and implementing procedures to ensure awareness. ❖ Worked closely with the guidance department and administration to make certain student athletes met required NCAA qualifications for scholarships. ❖ Seasonally planned events to celebrate student athlete accomplishments, such as athletic scholarships, with the school and community.
