Dear Mr. Hayes,

I write this letter upon recommendation from Leo Sonders, your town’s current police chief. Leo and I have known one another 20 years, five of those as partners on the City, State police force. He was my mentor, teaching me the finer points of public safety and how to represent the community and the department. Leo is retiring soon and believes no one can better serve New Parkland than me.

I was head of the squad that uncovered one of the largest caches of heroin in Brentwood history. As a Brentwood police captain, statistics in crime dropped six percent across the board.

I have striven to be a role model in all aspects of community service, from visiting public schools to attending community meetings to ensuring every resident is treated fairly. I have managed my career with a dignity that demonstrates my strength as a potential police chief.
