Dear Mr. Tullett,
Please let this letter serve as my resignation as shift supervisor due to unsatisfactory work conditions. I have, over the past several months, tried to work these issues out with yourself and other members of management, but with no success.
On repeated occasions, I have been asked to work back-to-back shifts on weekends and holidays. Initially, I understood the need to help out with the increase in production. But I was also promised that more employees would be hired to relieve the stress on current staff members. To this point, many months later, there has been no added staff to take the pressure off of the employees putting in upwards of 80 hours per week.
As I mentioned previously, I have raised concerns on several occasions and have even submitted these concerns in writing. The extra strain has now started to affect my health and I am forced to conclude that my needs are no longer part of the company’s interests. Therefore, I must take immediate action and resign.
Please feel free to call me at 000-000-0000 or email me at email@email.com if you have any questions.
Sincerely Yours,
Adam R. Orton
