Hobbies

Having worked in a few different fields, I've found myself dabbling in a variety of hobbies.

  • Baking at home has always brought me joy, and with it comes an intense desire to better understand the science and techniques that make baked goods so great. I often try the harder recipes, just to see if I can. I've successfully made french macarons quite a few times, with the least fancy kitchen equipment you can imagine, I might add. With each finished product, I find myself wondering what I can do to make it even better next time.
  • I am familiar with Adobe Photoshop, and use it to create digital artwork from time to time. I like to design tattoo ideas, and a lot of my designs include flowers and nature. Aside from digital art, my first medium was acrylic paint on canvas, and I will occasionally use those materials, whenever I'm in the mood to make a mess.
  • This pandemic has released my inner bookworm, and I've found that the love I had for diving into a book only took a vacation from my mind. Library apps are amazing, and I've had plenty of time to read all the books I always thought about reading. I also love to learn about events, places, and people that I have vague knowledge of, but never took the time to research. I try to learn something new every day, and bookmark the things I find particularly interesting.
