I'm a new graduate Nurse of an accredited LVN program with College of the Mainland. Here I was able to gain profound knowledge of nursing care by having the proper education and learning skills that are required to obtain a Vocational Nursing License. I have participated in nursing clinical where I was able to see firsthand the distinct roles of nursing and nursing care in a hospital, UTMB Clinics, and nursing home settings. I have over 10 years of experience with patient care. I am currently seeking a position as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. I am a fast learner and a hard worker who is loyal and dependable. I currently have experience working in a healthcare setting and I'm dedicated to learning more each day.
The Vocational Nursing program is a three semester full-time certificate training program that includes class activities, nursing skills training, and clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare settings. These courses prepare the graduate with competencies in the following roles:
Basic Life Support Provider with American Heart Association
Completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
Completion of some General Studies/ Health Science classes
