Professional Summary

I am a very worthwhile long-term investment for you to take a chance on. If there are some skills you are looking for that I lack considering my brief career experience, I assure you that, if given the chance, I'd pick those skills up very quickly.

My 8 months at Horizon Health back this up. I came into the job having no idea just how much I didn't know. I had never used active directory before. I had never seen the administrative side of outlook before. I had never been inside of a huge server room, let alone deal with the wiring of one. These are only a few examples of the many skills I had to develop while being thrown straight into the chaos on day one. It was extremely overwhelming at first, but figured it all out very quickly.

Not to jinx myself, but from day 1 of my employment at Horizon Health I have had unrestricted administrative access to every system in the hospital, and I have yet to break something. I was not reckless, I was very careful. I genuinely do think I will be an enormous asset to you. You just have to give me the chance!

Skills
  • A near boundless work ethic - I don't sit around and think about how much work a particular task is going to be, I just get right to working on it.
  • An enjoyment for learning - I don't immediately give up when encountering something unfamiliar, but instead set out to understand it.
  • An obsession with solving unfamiliar problems. This pretty much coincides with the previous point, but I get the most career satisfaction at times when I find a solution to a problem that I was having a really hard time with. That is what gives my career purpose
  • Great client/customer relation skills. I treat anyone I provide technical support for with the patience and respect they deserve. A doctor shouldn't expect his patient to have the same
Work History
03/2021 to Current Information Technologist Sumaria Systems, Inc. | Travis Air Force Base, CA,
  • I am the main person responsible for providing work week technology support to all hospital personnel, an estimated 800+ employees
  • I am solely responsible for creating, managing, and terminating user profiles within Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, as well as other hospital applications such as Athena and Sectra7 for all hospital personnel
  • I create policies within Group Policy Editor to automate processes such as: 1) Printer installations across all users who login to a specific device for the first time 2) Setting Chrome's deffault homepage to the hospitals main "online employee hub" on newly installed machines.
  • For 1 week every 3rd week (1 week on, 2 weeks off) I am responsible for being the sole individual that all hospital personal can call if they exerience technical issues of any degree at anytime of the day or night
  • I work with our main technology supplier to create price requesitions for all new I.T. equipment that an authorized manager of the appropriate purchasing power requests/needs
  • I have great in person professional relationships with the majority of hospital personnel. They know I will always do everything I can to fix their technolgy issues as quickly and effectively as possible. My relationships with some of these people has evolved into friendly conversation during random encounters throughout the day or at work sponsored events.

- I have currently been managing 2 temporary employees we hired to help me complete a project I underwent to reaplace all windows 7 machines at all Horizon Health locations with Windows 10 machines. After a week's training I had them imaging and preparing variously different "job title specific" machine builds that would suite the specialized need of any employee, department, or medical equipment with minimal need for intervention on my part.

I have coordinated with a multitude of departments to plan what I unofficially call "Calculated Deployment Runs". They are scheduled times to quickly replace clusters of old machines in specific departments or offcampus sites with the minimum possible impact on hospital productivity. The project is very close to completion, and I am proud to say we have had great results.
