We also stock wheelchairs, strollers and carts throughout the hospital. At the desk, we screen everyone who comes into the hospital, ensuring everyone's safety. In addition, I have answered general questions, given directions and gotten to know some of the families that enter our facility.

I then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and recently finished my sophomore year of school. As of now, my cumulative GPA is 3.67. Was recently nominated and joined the collegiate Golden Key National Honor Society.

Accomplishments
  • Also, still working as a waitress at Texas Roadhouse, and a Welcome Center Ambassador at Children's Hospital, working two jobs at a time has taught me multi-tasking skills and learning to be accountable for two different jobs simultaneously.
  • Experienced a job shadow on the medical-surgical ICU floor at Children's for a few hours, and also in the EDTC at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
  • This allowed me to shadow the nurses, and first hand witness procedures, exams, administer medicines and other important duties which just made me even more interested and excited to start this career of mine.
  • From January 3rd-15th of 2015, I traveled to Costa Rica and Nicaragua and participated in almost sixty hours of volunteer work by educating and providing basic medical care to those individuals at the poverty level.

I am interested in pursuing a career in the medical field as a Registered Nurse/ I am determined to make a positive difference in individuals lives by caring for them when they are ill. I am ambitious, caring, and compassionate, have a positive outlook on life and make friends rather easily. I enjoy the challenges in this profession and accept constructive criticism and feedback from instructors and mentors as a way to enhance my learning knowledge.


In high school, I took on various clubs and organizations and acted as both a leader and team member in different clubs. Being a leader allowed me to delegate work, collaborate with other officers, hold meetings and be accountable for the club. As a team member, I worked with others to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
