In summary, I like to say if your willing to teach me, I am willing to learn to do the job. I learned from all my experience's, that my idea's are NOT always the right one's, and to listen to others as they might have a safer and more efficient way of doing the job. I'm willing to listen and learn from others as I don't know everything. I also take my safety for myself and others around me seriously as I have lost loved ones from neglect to safety as I have seriously got hurt myself from lack of safety concerns. I work at UVU at the Bastion Mansion, doing weed pulling, trimming of trees and bushes. I weed wack, Edge lines, mow lawn's, use a leaf blower to clean off sidewalk and roads. In in the winter I snow plow using four wheelers, side by sides, sander trucks and a verity of hand tools to distribute salt, and remove snow. Also I install Christmas lights during the winter. I am skilled in using Fork lifts, Backhoes, Front-end-loaders, stand on mowers as well and zero point turn mowers and walk behind mowers. I know how to use a verity of hand tools. I fix sprinkler lines and sprinklers at the mansion. I have knowledge how to replace and how to fix some sprinkler values. I learned how to do preventative maintenance on small engines and how to fix some carburetor's. I helped install new sprinkler systems. I know how to use a sod cutter, trencher. I have some knowledge in electrical. How to replace light sockets, ballast's on florescence lighting. I have knowledge on how to fix engines and some things on heavy machinery. I have knowledge on how to look up parts and order the part. I have some computer skills. Have knowledge how to run a crew from 1-5 people.
- As a maintenance technician I did preventative maintenance on all the systems that ran the sewer plant. I replaced and fixed parts such as gear boxes, piping, leaking water systems on the plant and leaking couplers, check values, ball and gate values. Before I went to maintenance I was a jet truck driver. I drove a 42' long truck cleaning and maintaining sewer lines. I was confined space certified. I also removed snow using side by sides and front-end-loaders. I fixed sprinkler lines at the plant and have knowledge on how to fix those.
