I currently teach Criminal Justice in High School. I teach 3 levels of Criminal Justice as well as an Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Law Enforcement class.

I was a P.O.S.T. Certified police officer for over 26 years. I served as a patrol officer, a forgery and fraud investigator, a prescription fraud investigator, worked narcotics and worked gangs and intelligence. I was an original member of the police department's gang task force and currently serve in the gang and intelligence unit. I was on the police department's bomb squad since 2000 and have been a certified bomb technician since 2003. I served as the commander of the bomb squad from 2013 until 2018. I am a founding member and current President of the Tennessee Gang Investigators Association since 2011. Also in 2011, I became a board member and parliamentarian of the National Alliance of Gang Investigator Associations. I was the Treasurer of NAGIA. I had an active Secret clearance.
