Additional Information

I am a very hard worker and I take pride in my performance at work. I can handle the stress of fast pace and stressful environments without hardly any problems. I am a people person, friendly and likeable. its easy for me to remember customers who come in hardly or regularly and to remember what they prefer to eat and drink.

While I working as assistant manager for Lucky Lil's casino we offered a rewards program for our customers to earn money while they played machines. The customers had a pin number to log in, and I started to remember quite a lot of pin numbers. My customers loved when I was on shift because all they had to do was walk inside, and I would greet them and without telling me anything I would sign them them into the rewards program, assign them to their machine, and bring them their choice of drink. My customers never had to leave their seat to request something. I am very alert and pay attention to customers while working the casino floor.

Working as a waitress at Lunch box was my first job I had, before that I was a stay at home mother. Once my youngest started school i decided to take a part time job and was hired as a salad person. I was very shy and nervous when talking to new people. I was then asked to start waiting tables after I memorized the menu and all the ingredients. I did not believe I could do the job and do it well. To my surprise I was good at it and enjoyed it!

While working at the Lunch Box I learned a lot about myself and how much I enjoyed working with the people. The lunch box's capacity was 67 customers in at one time. Mostly every lunch hour every day, we would reach the capacity. Some days I would be the only waitress working but could run the floor and be able to serve customers in a timely manner. The compliments I received from not only my customers but from my boss as well really helped bring me out of my comfort zone and realize some things.

I learned that;

  • I can work really well in a fast pace, hectic, and stressful environments . I actually prefer it.
  • I love working with people. I get along with almost every one I meet. When talking to a customer I look them in the eye and make them feel like they are being heard.
  • I have a great memory so its easy to remember names, numbers, faces, etc.
  • Show me once how to do something, then allow me to be hands on while supervised helps me learn things quickly.
  • When I do a task, I do it right the first time. I cared a lot about the restaurant and managed it like it was my own.

I work great with others and follow orders without any issues. I am honest and responsible about arriving on time and focus on the job I have to do.
