Program Manager and Sr. Instructor for the Special Forces Intel Sgts Course (18Z), 11/2011 to 05/2014

  • Supervised the 18F Military Occupational Skill (MOS) Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant Course (SFISC) producing course; trained over 550 Green Berets in research and all source analysis, the Special Operations Forces Targeting process (F3EAD), plan and conduct Threat Vulnerability Analysis (TVA), Evasion Plan of Action (EPA), SOF Sensitive Site Exploitation (SOF-SSE), leverage collection platforms, the Intelligence Cycle to support operations, conducts terrain and link predictive analysis, and applying estimates to applicable reporting and briefing formats.
  • Developed and wrote the Threat Vulnerability Assessment (TVA) curriculum from 2013-2015, producing 40 TVA and Anti-Terrorism assessments annually reducing risk and damage to Special Forces missions across the globe.
  • Requested by USASOC Anti-Terrorism officer to produce TVA and Anti-Terrorism assessments on all Fort Bragg USASOC buildings fulfilling Anti-Terrorism assessment annual requirement reducing the threat of potential terrorism, theft and crime.   • Served as the Rear-Detachment Sergeant Major, conducted weekly video tele-conference with the company and battalion senior leadership forward to report current operations and to discuss logistical support challenges.

3rd Special Forces Group – Fort Bragg, NC
  • All Source Analyst on an Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) synthesized information and raw intelligence reports, produced and provided intelligence estimates in support of combat operations and planning.
  • Collected and reported intelligence information at the tactical and operational level of which was used in combat operations planning with the Afghan Commandos in Eastern Afghanistan.  I briefed NATO ISAF One Star General at Camp Warehouse (Kabul, Afghanistan) on IED and Taliban flow analysis for approval of operation to disrupt Taliban fighters flow in to Kabul.
  • Gathered all-source intelligence and wrote operations intelligence annex for pre-mission briefings to ODA. Participated in numerous Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance and Direct Action missions in Eastern Afghanistan based on gathered intelligence trends, patterns and analyzed HUMINT reports resulting the capture of Taliban fighters.
  • Experience providing direct HUMINT support to collection requirements for mission development through the direct train up of Afghan Commando Recce Squad and execution of close target reconnaissance.
  • The success of operations in Eastern Afghanistan with Afghan Commandos gained attention of Southern Afghanistan Commanders attention, resulting in the request of forces to participate in operations in the south. With one Afghan interpreter and the Afghan Commando Battalion Executive Officer (XO), I redeployed to Southern Afghanistan and meditated the collaboration of direct actions missions between the Afghan Special Operations Command and British Operational Mentor Liaison Teams (OMLT) in Southern Afghanistan resulting in the seizure and destruction of multiple Taliban weapons and drug caches.
  • Identified the need for an Afghan Commando short and long term training plan (Program of Instruction) POI in order to sustain technical and tactical competence and maintain training proficiency at an acceptable level, I instituted the Red, Amber and Green training cycle in to the battalion S3 plans and developed a by company POI. 
  • Advised the Afghan Commandos S3 and Company commanders institute a training support meeting to offset training meetings with Executive Officers (XO) and company supply sergeants to support future training events identifying and focusing on protecting prime time training periods and the resources to support the training. The training support meeting increased their effectiveness for training and operational preparedness by 90%.
  • Advised the Detachment Commander on all intelligence and operational related matters.
Special Forces Communication Sergeant (18E), 11/2005 to 04/2007
3rd Special Forces Group – Fort Bragg, NC
  • Employed communications equipment to include HF, VHF, and UHF/SHF radio communications systems to transmit and receive radio messages in voice, continuous wave, and burst radio nets during Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).

  • Advised unit Commander on C4I architecture, communications matters, and communications to Special Forces Operating level. Prepared communications plans and annexes. Prepared Signal Operations Instructions/Communication Electronics Operations Instructions (SOI/CEOI).

Team Sergeant (11B), 03/2003 to 05/2004
2nd Infantry Division, Long Range Surveillance Detachment – Camp Hovey, South Korea
  • Trained and employed a six man team for clandestine military operations providing constant surveillance and HUMINT collection against targets.
  • Supported infantry Division level training missions, the Army Readiness Training and Evaluation Program (STRIKE ARTEP and IRON ARTEP) I led the insert and exfiltration of a team into denied battle space undetected, conducted clandestine long range surveillance, provided 2nd Infantry Division battle staff with HUMINT reports without compromise to the team. The information collected resulted in 4 successful counter operations against enemy forces operating within battle space.
  • Primary trainer for Close Quarters Battle and Company Primary Jumpmaster.
  • Responsible for the health, welfare, training and discipline of a six man team; ensuring the team was proficient in clandestine reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, long-range high frequency communications and battle damage assessment, Evasion Plan of Action.
Ranger and Ranger Introduction Program Cadre (11B), 02/1997 to 03/2003
75th Ranger Regiment – HAAF, GA and Fort Benning, GA
  • Squad Leader for Ranger Indoctrination Program responsible for individual and collective infantry training. Performed platform instruction and individual evaluation and assessment for the 75th Ranger Regiment.
