I was responsible for assisting and helping Danish citizens living or travelling within the UK.
The most important duties of my job were: to establish and renew passports and other official documents; to help Danish citizens in distress or other emergency situations; to look after citizens in detention or arrest and to watch over the rule of law and fair trials; to establish entry visas for foreign citizens and to inform them about immigration, residence and work permits.
I oversaw and coordinated the day to day running of projects by assisting project managers and senior managers, and was also involved in the development, updating and monitoring of business and action plans.
I am a Danish woman who recently moved to Houston from London, UK where I lived for almost ten years together with my husband and two children. Before moving to London, I lived one year in Paris, France.
Most of the time while living abroad, my primary job has been taking care of our two children and you will therefore see a gap in my professional CV. However, the last year before our move, I worked at the Royal Danish Embassy as a Consular Officer, a job I really enjoyed.
I am an excellent coordinator and I am very organized. I am outgoing and like to have different projects going on at the same time and work confidently under pressure. I am very much a team player and I like to take initiatives. Furthermore, I am a good listener and find it easy to assess the situation and the people I am with. Last but not least, I thrive to achieve my goals.
