Project Manager (I.M.A.C), 01/2012 to 01/2014 Bloomberg LP – 731 Lexington Ave, New York City, New York
MOVES: Managed all moves in our New York offices (Daily Moves & Weekend Moves). During my time as Project manager for moves, we averaged around 5,000 moves per year. This required working with our friends in Facilities, Information Systems, Vendors, Trades, Department Admins & Managers.
END OF LIFE: Managed all end of life upgrades (EOL) for our New York offices. This included Windows PCs, Apple PCs, Standard PCs, Developer PCs. Planning took place with all users prior to being upgraded. Software deployed to all equipment as needed (licensed & site licenses) using SCCM & Casper.
New Office Build: Helped build out our new site in NYC (19 floors). Hardware procured, imaged, and tested.
New Desk Builds: Managed all new desk builds & shifts in our New York Offices. As departments needed more desk spaces within their environment we built desks. Equipment was ordered, installed, & tested.
Conference Room Builds: Managed all new conference rooms that needed to be built for various reasons. Maintained the hardware standards for conference rooms and software needs.
Training Room Builds: Managed all new training room builds in our New York offices.
Flat Panel Upgrades: Managed all flat panel upgrades in our New York offices.
Operating System Upgrades: Managed Windows upgrades for all New York offices.
Disaster Recovery Site: Managed the DR site. All equipment upgraded to newest hardware & software deployed based on department needs. I would visit the site quarterly to insure everything was functioning correctly which would take 1-2 weeks. I had a script built by our engineers to update the Bloomberg terminal every 3 weeks so that the serial number would not expire.
Hurricane Sandy Support: Company offered clients our D.R space for those that were really affected the most. We supported about 300+ clients in our DR site. This required us working with teams from legal, risk, sales, IT, security, and SEC to insure that the PCs clients used did not have access to one another. I was the lead to provide information to all parties and implement. We needed to change our PCs to auto-login with limited access. Once all clients left we re-imaged all PCs, replaced all dirty or broken hardware, installed software based on department needs. The Dr site was converted back to a Bloomberg DR site.
2012 Republican National Convention: Helped build a temp office & studio during the convention between 2 locations (convention center & studio). Installed all the hardware, imaged all hardware, tested all hardware, fix the wifi issue, printing support. Supported the convention for 2 weeks. Once done, all the hardware needed to be dismantled, boxed, and prepared to ship back to NY.
CBS Movie Shoot: Managed the technology needs from a CBS movie shoot.
Team Leader - Desktop Management, 01/2014 to Current Bloomberg LO – 731 Lexington Ave, New York City, New York
Supervised a team of 5 team members between NY & NJ which equals to 60% of the office space, employees, and workload.
Budgeted team needs for various projects (Moves, Vendors, Break/fix, End Of Life PCs, Flat Panel Upgrades, Desktop Hardware) for the Americas region
Global process regarding all desktop related projects & task (operations). Related to moves, newhires, tranfers, EOL process, company standards, department standards.
Static PC Naming: Pushed the idea of PCs having a static name vs changing every time they moved, globally. This reduced the time it took for a PC to move by 50%. Static naming also reduced the amount of day 2 issues by 20% because our systems were heavily reliant on the name being accurate. AD, DNS, SCCM, & security systems became more accurate in reporting and managing PCs. SCCM auto-deployed software failures improved from 40% to 97%. I also ran the global project to rename all PCs
Static Rename Tool: Developed a tool (process) to rename PCs automatically. As well as testing features, completed vs failed, user notification, and a bug to troubleshoot why a rename failed. Our engineers built the tool for us.
End Of Life (EOL): For all PCs & Apple equipment.
Moves, Newhires, Transfers, and Exits.
