Obama Signs Tourism Act to Create Careers in Hospitality

In order for the tourism industry to gain back the losses it faced as a result of the economic crisis, individuals must start traveling again. Additionally, travel can boost local economies are tourists try out local restaurants and attractions. Although more people are beginning to open their wallets and spend on luxuries such as travel, individuals with careers in hospitality are still looking for an improvement.

In an effort to boost tourism in America, which could create more careers in hospitality as well as strengthen the economy, President Barack Obama recently signed the Travel Promotion Act into law, according to the Nasdaq.

The act will create a relationship between the government and private sector in order to make the U.S. more attractive to international travelers who are looking for a new destination. The tourism industry expects that this measure could potentially attract more than 1.6 million international visitors who otherwise would not consider coming to the country.
