Displaying your qualifications within the first 2 to 3 paragraphs of a resume can add appeal. Quantifying accomplishments can also add an edge to a resume. Using numbers, instead of general information, can carry more weight with an employer.

The unemployment rate in October was 9.6%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. By taking a few of these tips into consideration, an individual can successfully transition onto a new career path, despite the economic downturn.
