Many people are going back to school to learn more about the health care industry, as it is expected to grow significantly in the next eight years. Nursing is in high demand and job opportunities are out there for those who are qualified.

According to The Journal Times, there is a high demand for qualified applicants to work in home health care in Burlington, Wisconsin. Jack Louks, who is the owner of BrightStar - a home care agency, said that there is a large demand for home care as many seniors are choosing to stay living at home, rather than in a nursing home.

Most employers in the area are looking for nursing assistants, registered nurses and license practical nurses, according to the news source.

“We have more work that we have people,” Louks told the news provider.

He said that is has been difficult to fill those positions because of a lack of applicants who are sufficiently qualified. However, he does mention that for those who have taken courses in nursing and have certification, a job in the home health care field is flexible and enjoyable.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of nurses is expected to increase 22% through 2018.
