Some people are thinking about a career change or contemplating whether a health care job is the one for them. They may find the answer in a free camp in Minnesota where people 18 years or older roll up their sleeves and experience different health occupations.

The Adult Scrubs Camp at St. Cloud Technical and Community College will introduce participants to a variety of health careers through more than 20 workshops, including CPR and first aid training and certification, the SCTimes.com has reported.

"Health care is one area where we are still seeing a small growth, but the biggest concern with health care is in the near future when the baby boomers retire," Wayne Anderson, business services specialist at Minnesota Job Service, told the news provider.

The camp, which will run on May 17-20, has a space for 80 participants. Some of the activities slated for the event include heart attack and childbirth simulations. There will be in-depth discussion on careers in nursing, physical therapy and other rehabilitative services, emergency medicine, clinical laboratory, pharmacy and health information technology, among others.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 10 of the 20 fastest-growing occupations are health care related and the industry is expected to create 3.2 million new jobs through 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19751873-ADNFCR
