Starting a small business is something that many people want to do, but don’t know how. As the technology sector is continuing to grow, many small businesses are starting to educate themselves in the up-and-coming industry and try to make headway.

According to the University of California, Berkeley’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (CET), there are many influential education strategies that learning centers use to teach entrepreneurial skills.

UC Berkeley recently released a report looking at the state of technology entrepreneurship education around the world. The study looked at 20 entrepreneurship teachers with backgrounds in engineering and technology, who came together during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The educators came from schools ranging from Stanford University, University of Michigan, Indian Institute of Technology and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

The report looked at the different education strategies that are used around the world to teach students the skills of how to run a small business and how entrepreneurship education is no longer solely focused on creating student-led ventures.

According to the Small Business Association, as of 2005, small businesses represent 99.7% of businesses in the U.S. and employ more than 55 million people.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19927975-ADNFCR
