Some professionals go into the education field because they believe in the importance of providing a service to others, hoping to improve their lives. Those who are looking to get into the education field sometimes display qualities of patience, empathy and knowledge, which can help them become one of the more effective teachers. Despite reports of a slowing job market, education continues to be one of the top fields of study.

To preserve the popular field, states have been using their stimulus grants to help retain and create education jobs. According to the Gazette-Times.com, the state of Oregon has been able to retain education jobs thanks to the federal funding provided by the stimulus plan. Some school districts even report being able to hire new talent as a result of the grants.

Administrators say this would not be possible, had they not had the stimulus bill to assist in improving their programs.

Prospective employees should not let negative headlines deter them. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the need for teachers will increase by 13% in the next 9 years.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19524571-ADNFCR
