Although many individuals have become wary of the costs of studying for the bar exam, it still does not deter them from the pursuit of their career as a lawyer. The bar exam is a requirement for individuals who want to become a certified lawyer, which is why many people invest money into study guides to improve their chances of passing.

Combining the need for studying with new technology, Mike Ghaffary created an iPhone application that will help students study for the California Bar Exam. According to AbovetheLaw.com, the only competitor is offered by BarBri, which includes lessons on a special iPod complete with audio. The cost for the iPod is included with the classes that range between $3,000 and $4,000.

Ghaffary was amazed that there were no other competitors for BarBri, giving him the idea to create his own application while studying for the bar exam. The cost of BarMax: California Edition, Ghaffary's product, is a fraction of the cost of BarBri at $999.99.

According to the California Bar Exam's website, statistics show that those who repeat the test have a less chance at passing. Approximately 70.4% of first-time takers passed it, compared to 22.1% of repeaters.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19569243-ADNFCR
