Lots of people are looking for a career change right now, and what better way to begin searching for a new career than heading back to school. Law school, in particular, is a great way to learn more about the legal system and figure out if the career path is right for you.

Louisiana College recently announced that it is planning to open a School of Law in Shreveport, according to an AP report. College president, Joe Aguillard, said that a feasibility study showed that Northwest Louisiana would be the best location for law school.

“Creating a law school is a tremendous undertaking and one that we have not taken lightly,” he said in a statement. “We are excited to build a strong and vibrant law school in yet another community that supports our efforts.”

The college announced its intention to establish a law school in 2007 and has been working on accreditation, funding and site selection, according to the news source, and classes started last year.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of lawyers is expected to grow by 13% through 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19924477-ADNFCR
