Many people are heading back to school to pursue a new career option, or further themselves in their current career path. Law school is a great option for those interested in studying and practicing the complexities of the law.

The Boston Globe reports that George Brown has been named with interim dean of Boston College Law School. Brown was chosen by William Leahy, the president of the college. He was an associate dean of academic affairs under the previous law school president, John Garvey.

Brown has published more than 40 law review articles and worked as a legislative assistant to the Massachusetts governor and assistant attorney general, according to the news source.

He told the news source that legal professors need to adapt to the changing legal environment and that while the job market is slowly recovering, it can still be tough.

“This is a challenging time for legal education, both for those who teach and those who come to study,” Brown told the news source. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to do everything we can to meet those challenges.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of lawyers is expected to grow by at least 13% between 2008 and 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19903222-ADNFCR
