Psychology Tutoring Now Offered Through Online Educational Program

For people with a desire to help other people, pursuing a postsecondary education in counseling may seem a bit daunting, but now one online education provider is offering tutorial services in order to help students add a degree in psychology to their resume.

The web-based educational service StraighterLine recently announced that it was offering the tutoring services to students who were enrolled in its introduction to psychology course.

StraigherLine said that it is partnering with eduFire's community of psychology experts to offer the new service.

The online provider recently added its online introduction to psychology to its curriculum, along with 8 other courses that have been reviewed and recommended for credit by the American Council on Eduction.

The online eduction provider currently offers 23 entry-level courses, including two developmental courses in psychology.

StraighterLine found Burck Smith said offering online assistance to helps students balance their busy scheduled.

"Academic support is best provided at the moment a student needs help," Smith added. "StraighterLine's CEO and founder. "By relying on online tutoring services, students get help when they need it without having to cross campus."

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports employment opportunities for psychologists are expected to grow by 12% though 2018.
