Some people believe that psychology careers are rewarding because they help individuals through difficult times. When individuals are going through times of trouble, it is the job of psychologists and counselors to offer a sense of comfort and understanding. Traumatic experiences could potentially cripple some people with emotion, and it's a psychologists' job to narrow in on their psyche in order to properly treat the patient.

Cornell University is under high alert after the apparent suicide of three students, according to The New York Times. Academic officials have been reaching out to students to remind them that their lives are more important than the stress of school. The mental health outreach has been intense as counselors and psychologists alike try to assess the situation with students.

Three students have jumped off of bridges into the gorges that surround the campus, and now many people are concerned that this event could lead to drive other students over the edge. Psychologists have been working tirelessly to ensure that all students are handling their emotions in a healthy way.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, careers in psychology are expected to increase by 12% by 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19677819-ADNFCR
