Ohio IT Business Awarded Tax Credit to Create New Centers

The IT industry is constantly changing, which is why many people are looking toward the sector when they are contemplating a career change. One state is doing its part by spurring growth in the industry while making sure that new jobs are available to its citizens.

According to cresent-news.com, Ohio has granted Ruralogic a business tax credit in order to build IT centers in three cities that will create hundreds of jobs.

The new northwest Ohio business is expected to create 363 jobs with new offices in Bryan, Napoleon and Archbold. The company is an offshoot of the IT consulting firm Attevo and will provide IT development and management for many companies.

The Ohio Department of Development awarded a 60% Job Creation Tax Credit for the next eight years, for the companies new locations. The value of the tax credit, according to the news source, is $707,700 at each location and the company needs to maintain operations at the new site for at least 11 years.

New jobs at the centers will have an average hourly wage of $20.50.
