As the job market is starting to recover, many companies are looking to hire new employees. The technology industry is expected to grow dramatically, so for those looking for a new job, that may be the best sector to look.

Garmin AT, a satellite navigation company, announced that it will be looking to hire as many as 200 new workers for a new call center in Salem, Oregon, according to the Statesman Journal.

While the company has not announced exactly where the new facility will be built, it told the news source that the 43,000-square-foot facility will be built by late January. The company is set to start recruiting next month.

In order to cope with a busy holiday season, Garmin is looking to hire 25 to 50 people immediately to work at a temporary site. The holiday season is the busiest time of year for the company, when more customers are buying Garmin products and gifts for friends and family.

"It's just what we needed," Salem Mayor Janet Taylor told the news source. "It shows that Salem has excellent employees and a pro-business attitude. I think it will be a real asset to the community's job opportunities."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2008 there were an estimated 1.5 million people employed in the IT industry.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19931425-ADNFCR
