It appears as if there's no end in sight for job openings for professionals with cloud computing experience on their resume.

According to WANTED Analytics, online job ads that included workers with a knowledge of software as a server (SaaS), or cloud, skills rose by 61% over the past year, with 10,000 new ads posted over the past 3 months.

Demand for cloud computing experts was not just limited to technical positions, with a number of companies in other industries beginning to work with the SaaS applications. Other jobs that most often looked for these skills in job ads included sales managers, customer service representatives and cargo and freight agents.

Eric Berridge, co-founder and president of solutions provider Bluewolf, told CRN that while the cloud market continues to grow, there's not enough talent to fill all the job openings.

"The talent gap this revolution is creating is wide and dangerous," Berridge noted. " For the most part these IT pros don’t exist, and if we don’t train them, America is going to fall seriously behind."

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that job opportunities for computer software publishers are expected to increase by 30% through 2018.
