Careers in IT may lead to Smartphone security work

With more people embracing Smartphone technology, cybercriminals are finding more innovative ways to hack these systems. Because these hackers must be stopped this threat may lead to a new range of careers in the information world as people are hired to protect the public's personal information.

The need for individuals with these kinds of skills is outlined in a new ComputerWorld article, as the most troublesome attacks may be directed towards people who own Smartphones.

According to the news provider, one such attack can disable or steal information from millions of devices and Microsoft Window's users are currently at the highest risk.

Android-based phones are vulnerable, as security leader at Google Android Rich Cannings anticipated that "the Smartphone [Android] OS will become a major security target."

In addition, the Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates that jobs in the computer and information systems industry will grow faster than expected until 2016 and increase by 16 %.

By 2016, the BLS projects that there will be around 307,000 systems managers employed in the United States.
